Hello from the USA!.....The 1970 Opel Kadett B "LS" Fastback sedan, was my first car purchased in 1971, gently used by one previous owner. In the USA, they were often imported by Buick dealerships. Mine had a factory finish in metallic blue paint, with a black interior. It was my car to use when I went off to college. I lived in Cleveland, Ohio (usa), a city that heavily relies on rock salt, to control road ice. That and industrial air pollution, caused the door hinges, locks & floor boards to rust away by 1980. Before I sold it, I had a new floor boards installed. A new owner who had welding skills bought it. It drove like a champ and the engine was in great condition. (The engine purred) I loved that car.

Sadly here in Austria/Germany we don't have these kinds of junkyards anymore as they are bad for the environment so every car just gets scrapped or sold of to eastersn block. I'd love to go junkyard diving but sadly it is not possible where I live.
