1958 Buick Special speedometer repair... smallest part fabrication ever!

Thanks you for this video, and that you show, how to take out the Speedometer. The same Problem is on mine 58er Buick. I had been aware of the video from Antique Automotive Service for some time, but was unsure about removing the speedometer

That piece of tape in the front appears in the video to be the as what's on the back. That looks like it came new with those backs pieces.

Thank you for your video, it helped me fix my speedometer of my 58 Buick! But can you tell me what the cable under de speedometer is for, it hanged loose when I pulled it out the dash and I can you spin a inch of the vertical meter

There are two cables. One sets the speed minder. That little gauge at the top left of the seeds is supposed to trigger a little light when you hit the dialed speed. The one that hangs down loose if the trip odometer. Odd that it just hangs around there. But you can twist it to reset the trip.
