Love that car. I grew up out in the country on a dirt road with a drainage ditch right by our house and in 59, the traveling dragline operator parked his red and white 58 Impala close to our house and walked to the equipment. It had fender skirts and a continental kit, dual exhausts with a 348. I was eleven years old and that thing just fascinated the heck out of me as oftentimes we didn't have a running vehicle.

That's awesome, This 58 was an original 348 car, witht he Level ride option. I've been Also looking to find fender skirts and a continental kit for it as well. Those Definitely add lots of style to the 58's

@@fullyloadedkustoms Nix on fender skirts and cont.kit ; it will be beautiful without the added weight I was 17 when I went to the Chevvy garage had to sneak into shop area to look at the new ones, I was blown away at the sight and smell of that first Impala in a new medium green color (first year for that color). I bought my first Impala after getting out of the Navy in 1963. A 1962 in Polor white & red interior for $1450. 21,000 miles. Best of luck on your restoration it will be beautiful.

Yeah the original color on this one would look great. Under the trunk looked good for the original color it still had a little shine from the factory clear over the color and it did look great

@@fullyloadedkustoms They were usually stripped because they were kind of a flop. The technology just wasn't there. The emblem is the high ticket item! Picked up a wagon with it on it a few years back.

My dad bought one new exactly this color combination with a continental kit. He got it from Johnson Chevrolet in Indianapolis where he had been a salesman until he left to take control of the family oil business. Just as an aside, we lived in the suburb of Nora with many auto dealers. I was able to see the newest models of just about every make on a daily basis, maybe that is why I became such a car nut. One executive from Chrysler even drove one of the Turbine cars and all the kids and dads went over to check that beauty out and put our hands near the exhaust.

She was hit pretty good. But I've been managed to track down most of the parts I need for it now. Just need to find some floor pans and the Pitchfork panel replacement piece on the driver side. And I'll be ready to cut the car in half and start installing the firewall rocker panels and rebuilding this thing again just been super hard to find parts for.

Your Impala would look good in Tropical Turquoise with a White top, 58 factory color. That small hole on the dash to the right of the clock would be where the rear speaker fader control once was. Please find a strong 348 for her. Mine was a factory Cashmere Blue with White top car with the 348. Best wishes on your project.

America's countryside, peoples acreage all across this nation is "riddled" with American made cars and trucks. Vehicles made in the U.S. is beyond billions of units so many many in yards, barns and sheds are full. I am a car guy age 75 and can still remember when I was around 10 seeing these exact yards and fields with rusting abandoned cars and trucks even in 1956 with my father. Seeing cars abandoned today 2021 is nothing new or special here in the U.S.A. its what we do with so much wealth in our nation.

@@fullyloadedkustoms I have friends living there giddày from the valley have you ever watched cold war motors awesome show on KZbin Scott and Dean and the boys cool car to build can't wait to see it finished my buddy built a low rider out of a 90 four door grand marquee put a chunky metal flake paint job and pumps and wire wheels just cheap ones but it looked good had fun with one wheel in the air or the back way up and the front on the ground

@@fullyloadedkustoms can I give you a piece of advice don't be all yappy about what you're going to do and only do ten minutes of work and 20 minutes of talking like bad chad does I like the way Brent at half ass kustoms runs his channel he talks a bit then uses time lapse filming to show the work off better love his channel awesome builds I wa trying to get half ass customs and bad chad to challenge each other to build off east vs west Canadian challenge next year would be two other shops bad chad hasn't responded

This is definitely going to take a lot of hours to complete this car probably easy anywhere between 1,000 to 2,000 hours plus. Money wise If This were to be done at a restoration shop if they would even take on the project. Could easily be well between $60,000 to $100,000 plus.

The biggest thing here is that I'll be doing the metal works, body work, paint work, interior, etc work all my self so I'll be cutting the cost of the vehicle down to materials and supplies.
