I enjoyed this so much! My parents were there…mom 8 mos PG with me, so technically I attended as well😉 I remember as a small child our parents studying the Paradise book with my sis and I. One of the congregation book study groups was held in our home when the “Your Will Be Done on Earth” book was being considered…I was just starting school, but I remember it well. This footage reminded me of three of the international assemblies we attended when I was young, two in Vancouver, BC….Love the video!!! Thank you for sharing!

This was so interesting to find! My grandma went to this from where she lived out West. The story I have heard is there were tents for them to sleep in, in Central Park. Can't imagine what that was like-- trying to provide space or bathroom facilities or the cafeteria for that many people! Especially that as well as the conference out in the heat of a New York City summer. She had a lovely time until she got sick-- it was believed to be typhoid. She was terribly sick, and had to lay down in the back seat the whole time it took them to drive back home, a very long and relatively slow drive in those days.. It took her a couple of months to recover from her illness. I never knew until seeing this video what a big deal this conference was or how many people were there! Thanks for posting it.

+italospeed Hi, most of the footage I obtained from other youtube sources. Only the couple of scenes that I specifically mention was his do I have which is only about 30secs as alot was unusable due to its age.
