Thats one of the nicest and certainly the most unique 58 Dynamic 88 ive ever seen ! That metallic colour with the off white white roof and insert, and old school Keystone mags, hot stuff man!! Oh and a J-2 to boot? Wowowwywow!

My parents had a 1958 Oldsmobile which they bought brand new. It was two tone light green and white. I can remember it as a little child. They kept it until 1962 when they traded for another car, a Pontiac Tempest. Thanks for a great video.

Thanks for sharing video. I congratulate you for the work done with your Oldsmobile. When I was young I often drove a 58 Minety Eight from an uncle. But here in Chile I never saw an Olds 58 371 engine with the J-2 equipment (3 double carburetors). I only saw a Ninety Eight 57 with that J-2 team. With 315 H.P. Your car must be very fast.

Beautiful car, great choice of colors. My grandfather brought a new 58 Olds 4-door hardtop. Everybody loved that car. BTW, it was pink with a cream roof.

Love the 58! Great that you saved it for all those years. I saw a 58 chevy project w/ parts car on craigslist in 2017. i couldnt help myself so i bought it. In 2018 I frame off restored it. I love the 58 with all the stainless and chrome. I built and swapped the engine w/ rebuilt 1968 396 bbc w/ 700r4 auto. Fun project i did slideshow on my channel a while ago. Love the look and the lines on all 58 GM cars!

I rode in one of these growing up in the 60s & early 70s -- the family car. Was like a family friend. Lived in NYC & we took summer trips in it to the Catskills and Delaware River. Car sometimes had trouble w carbourator; I remember my mom, who was a terrible driver, stalling out many times trying to make a u-turn in Brooklyn. My dad drove it most of time. Car was rusting out, hole on floor by driver. Dad gave it up in 74 to young guy; "lifters" were shot; he was going to make racer out of it

Having a donor car can be a big help in any restoration project. As long as you keep the old classics out on the highways and out of the junk yards!

Hi great video my dad bought a 58 olds just like yours and i believe the paint was the same color cant remember if he had the white two tone or not .but the body color looks the same ...one problem my dad said that it was hard to stop the car meaning there was some kind of issue with the brakes ...have you experienced this ???? I had a 1958 two door in 1977. I was in the Air Force at the time couldn't find or afford parts to rebuild the front suspension. Hated to part with that car.
