Looking good JP. I have to say one of my mistakes was not being organized enough as to where parts are. Most are bagged and labeled but all the totes are not in the shop so I spend a lot of time searching for stuff, including tools in the shop. Frank

Agree with Chef. If that's original, as far as you know, I'd probably clear it and leave it as is. I think it's those little things that we all appreciate on the classics.

Dang your leaf springs were in great condition :O thanks for helping me figure out what the rebound bracket is, I was wondering what went in those tubes on the frame, I had to replace my bottome 2 tubes and the metal around them unfortunately

Hey JP just finished my front end and most of the rear end. I'm getting ready to put new bearings on the axle. Man what a @#%#@ job that was pulling the rear hubs. I put my springs on but think I will take them to a shop to be re-worked. Any way I know they're not expensive but I bought a 5/8 reamer just for this project and would be willing to let you use it if you're interested. Let me know and we'll figure out a way to exchange info. Good luck! Just wish I still lived in Culpepper, it would have been nice to have someone close so we could help each other out.

Hey JP check out Apple Hydraulics. They will rebuild or exchange rebuilt lever shocks. I had mine rebuilt because they were leaking and had them upgraded to heavy duty for $308 including shipping. The upgrade cost me $20. I don't remember what the cost is for no core but it was significantly cheaper than any of the big 3 distributors.
