😱Wow that sounds outstanding unplugged! Real strong and loud with a lot of ring to the overtones! No doubt a great guitar! My 2018 Historic R9 purchase was based on those elements but i.had to try many to find the one! would loved to have been able to try/get a Bartlett!👍

Which of the Rewind PAFs are these? II, IV etc.? Are you still liking those pickups? Thanks. Also, what string brand and guage do you use?

As I mentioned in the description, these are the ReWind PAF ones. That’s what they were called at the time anyway. I believe I sold the guitar with them and now I have the ReWind cream Brulé PAFs. Couldn’t tell you which set I liked better because I didn’t have the others still here to compare but both sound great!

In the R series the pickups are the problem modern Gibson pickups just don't cut it. But a set of Montys PAFs or Wizz PAFs will sort that out.

@@EdA1 I have one and I love it as much as the Super Champ. Tried different speakers in it. The best one I found is an early 1980's Celestion G12-70. It sounds superior in my amp (go figure I think it just marries totally with the mids of this amp).

@@Stockholm.sweden i’m constantly changing speakers in every amp I own but with the deluxe I never use it for gigging only low volume practice, and I have found that my favorite is still the blue label stock speaker.

a Serious question: your 2016 replica was a lot alike this one, few flames on the top, all the good vintage apointment, nice tone, why did you order another one with the same profile?? did you sell the other one? how do they compare?

TheMicAmused... I did sell that one. That was a great guitar but ultimately a honeyburst is not my first choice. But then of course a couple years later I wanted one again LOL! But now I have another deep big flame cherryburst and with the current economic situation I’m actually going to move this one that’s in this video which is an absolutely great guitar. I have not put it up for sale yet…

cobowe... if I’m not using vintage centralabs I like DiMarzio branded CTS custom taper… They are very easy turning and have a nice slow roll up like vintage Centralabs
