not sure that's true , the same overdrive trans would get similar results , points can't comment on that fault but can't you upgrade that to electronic ignition ? and my final point I'm more impressed with cars that are original , at least the motor , trans of course the overdrive it better but the engine has the distinct sound and characteristics more than the trans . just my opinion but still a beautiful car i don't deny that in the slightest

My Pop had one of these, in retrospect it was his favorite... he talks about it all the time.... he was the second owner, $1600 dollar car.. He had dozens of those old 50 models he bought for next to nothing... well back then, the dollar was still backed by gold and had value. The dollar has lost probably 95% of its value... NICE car, looks done right... too bad it's not a "numbers car"....but still beautiful. I'll have to show Pop... he has been lookin' for the right one to put back together, and we had planned to go to that Vander Brink auction....Lambrecht Chevy auction,,,but ... :( (those are "Cragar " "style 5 spokes" IDK if ya' noticed the frame but that's Chevy's X frame under there... one of those innovative GM things that they dropped for safety reasons....I think it was only used on those ...59-60....models.... ????

Damn that thing is so pretty. Wow only thing id change is id find an original 283 or something and drop that in there instead otherwise.... Damn.... Only think I dislike about the 59 belairs is the X shaped frame they had, not a very good design on GMs part.

Nice, very nice. This is a Bel Air, not an Impala though. I guess that means it has the Impala option?? Are the dual antennas factory?? The car would be even nicer with the serpentine system and YES, it has the ORIGINAL steering wheel and the front bumper guard!!!!! :)
