El Camino. The motorized mullet. Favorite GM ride for me. Had a 72' back in the day. Limited passenger room is definitely a plus. No kids, no dogs 👍

I wish they would bring the El Camino back. It was the coolest car sighting in my neighborhood during the 60s and 70s. They're unique and may not be the most practical hauler, but people really liked the style and they were real head turners in my neighborhood.

First car I ever bought back in 81 was a 59 RANCHERO for $500. Still have it. But I’ll admit the El Camino is gorgeous. Just recently found out that the 59 Ford Fairlane was awarded most elegant car design for 1959 by the Italians. But I’m still a bit jealous of the 59 Chevys.
@invisableobserver16 күн бұрын
Mine was a 62 Falcon Ranchero, they were lightweight unibodies, I still have it too, I prefer the 57-59 except the weight & higher MPG. Though if I had a choice I'd take a 2 door wagon or sedan delivery, they were rare. The 59 impala line had a factory dealer option of front bumper dagmars ( . )( . )
@isaiahvillarreal451216 күн бұрын
I always liked the 60/63 Rancheros. Don’t even see Falcons on the road anymore. Back in the 80s I passed on buying a neighbors 59 Ford wagon for $1000. Also in 87 I was dead tired walking home from the park with friend, an old man places a for sale sign on a 60 Falcon for $100, I only had a few bucks on me so I ask everyone for whatever they got. All we had was $90 we drove it home. Still have that Falcon too.

I had one around 1991, bone stock and very solid, I drove it all over California for a year. At the time it was a cool but not very desirable car - but I liked it. One night I was parked in front of my girlfriend's apt in San Francisco and someone hotwired and stole it. The SFPD found it wrapped around a pole in Hunter's Point a couple days later. I let the city haul it off and never saw it again. Sure wish I had it now.

My first car was a beautiful black 1959 El Camino that I bought in the fall of 1964. it looked good, and I loved the design, but it was a mechanical piece of junk which I found out after a month of ownership. It was a car buying mistake that I have not forgotten. I still love that design though. I bought a new 1971 El Camino SS in April of that year and it was a dream to own.

The introduction of the El Camino created a temporal rift, the ramifications of which will continue to altar and splice our reality. It is a car, it is a truck. It isn't a car, it isn't a truck. It is the thing that should not be. The only reason our current timeline hasn't completely diverged in twain was the marque's cancellation in 1987. Symptoms of its existence remain of course, the Mandela Effect being chief among those.
