#classictruckrescue #classictrucks #vintagetrucks Classic Truck Rescue goes into Horse-Trading mode to save a very cool 1958 Chevy 2-ton truck that was converted into a Race-Car Hauler back in the early seventies and a 1971 Chevy 1-ton 4x4.

Another great video, both the prototype toy hauler and the nice folks who have it, and the appearance from Jeff, another of my favorite KZbinrs. Thanks again for making me homesick! Linda and I send our best.

First time i ever saw a custom camper like on that 59' was in 1964 Lake Mead in Arizona launching a 24 ' boat with twin stern drives. Was impressed, an international just goes to show what money can do even in the late 50.

Greetings friend! I like to see your videos! I also like and work for the preservation of automotive memory. I live in Brazil and I have a GMC 350 truck, original from the factory, that was the grandfather of a great friend, very little used, with only 44,000 kms, or 27,500 miles. My friend's grandfather bought him zero kilometers in 1951. The engine, with 248 cubic inches, crashed for lack of use - valve control. It was disassembled and I am currently doing a general overhaul for the truck to come back active. The wooden carriage is original !!! I realize from the videos that the Lord is interested in cars and trucks. I have several vehicles, Germans, Brazilians and North Americans, among them Volkswagens types 1 and 2, years 1949, 1954, 1955, 1957, etc .; Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupé 1967, with 250 cid engine, Saginaw 3; Chevrolet Chevy II Nova 1967, 194 cid engine and PowerGlide; Oldsmobile F-85, year 1963, with Chevrolet 327 engine and TH-350; two Cadillacs Series 60 Special, with Fleetwood bodywork, years 1951 and 1954, original (331 engine, with Hydramatic cast iron 4 speeds); Chrysler LeBaron GTS 1986, 2,5L engine; complete chassis of Ford Four Doors, year 1946, to make a "Rat Rod", whose engine will be a Chevrolet 261, an old Brazilian C-60 truck or a 235, which was of a Chevrolet sedan two BelAir , year 1956, etc. I await your contact and hug !!! Oh man! Too cool!!! Ol' Faithful reminds me of the 1972 Chevy motorhome my Dad bought, from a guy (around the corner from us). The 1972 my Dad bought was 34 feet long! It was a BEAST!!! It was a 1-ton, with a 454, and an automatic transmission. It had them old nylon tires (thumpa, thumpa, thumpa... until they got warm)... I'm glad you grabbed that 1971/72 truck/frame, it will make for a great build, maybe a "resto-mod"? Oh, and for that guy who "poops", err... Pops-in, at the end... Jeff is a Character! I can't wait to see more vids on Ol' Faithful! (I'm working on another 2004 Jeep Wrangler video... I'm growing tired of watching myself talk, and work, and... Well, you understand). I can't wait to hear that 454 fire up!

Hey Guys, I want you to know that I have followed you from your beginnings. Always drooling because of my roots. I was given the first truck my dad bought when we lived in Northern Idaho which, was a 1952 chevy 5 window but, the 216 babbot bearing engine that dropped a rod bearing. With my crazy love for cars to fix the engine I worked at a body shop for free just to learn how to do body work . The machine shop that did the bearings didn't do them right so the rebuild didn't last for more than 100 miles. I was crushed but, stayed working for free because I love cars and trucks. I did go to tech school and worked professionally for 16 years when my career was cut short when I took a summer off to go truck driving and my trainer fell asleep and rolled the truck over and I haven't been able to return back to work ever. I was given my dads truck when they were moving which was a 56 chevy 4x4 and just before I went trucking I got devorced and my wife gave it away while I was at work because the title said or she could do that. I was devastated to say the least ! I would love to get either a coe 49-57 or a 2 wheel drive to teach my boys how to at least make money while they are in college and I just love those years of trucks. I would love to hear back from you ! You guys are saving the best of everything ! take care for now ! YOu guys ROCK !!!!!! I think you are doing wat my best friend and I always dreamed of ! I love the fact you have a yorkie and I had a pomeranien and now I have 2 shietzus Buddy and Dixie that are my daily companions and consider them my kids !!!

THE head of inner cab inspections is going to love this project , she will have a lot of work on her paws on this one. But rest assured she will get er done. That, my friend Rick, will make a great video all by it's self, Just Anna and the 58 Apache camper special . This truck HAS fallen into the RIGHT hands / paws to be Rescued and brought back to life. Rick, I have a feeling this one, ( I call " Roadie " ) will be a keeper and a great addition to your personal fleet. All the possibilities in this unit is many. This one fer sure, will make Jeff and others drool with envy, What a great find and score.

Somewhere in my history the logo on that "beehive" super ignition coil was imprinted on my brain because even though it's really in poor condition I instantly recognized it as being a Blue Streak brand logo. From what I have read that coil was made from the late 50's to sometime in the 60's. There is a few pictures of Blue Streak super coils just like that( in better condition) on google images.

I do have a green one that was a walk through camper. Someone had removed the camper-portion of it prior to my buying it. It is a 1959 GMC and was light green. Still have it. -Rick
