We just picked up a '56 ga8 with Tremolo yesterday and it has a loud hum. Am planning on redoing all caps, and this is definitely a learning process! Thanks for sharing!

Can anyone confirm what the power transformer secondary be? I've seen 550vac but then I found one schematic saying 750vac (both center tapped yes). I am building one from scratch and want to get as close to original as possible. I am asking here because this video states 748v at one point. Up to that time I was trusting the 550v info! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I have a G8 gibson amp. need to know where to purchase the paper caps. all of mine need replaced also the the substitution caps. and values of them so I can replace the smaller caps also
