I owned two 1961 cars. Most were exported to the United States, hence left steering. In the center back seat is a magazine rack, picnic tables on both sides. Great solid automobile, this one looked really nice!

Cool lookin' car!! I really like the dash and steering wheel!! I'm surprised it wasn't right hand drive!!☺
@RamblinAround8 жыл бұрын
+805ROADKING You're right, it is surprising that it's left hand drive. That wood dash is pretty cool.

The dash is lit in a curious way, with four purple glass bulb covers under the dash overhang, and pick up the white of the instruments with blacklight effect.

I had a '59 MG Magnette that was a baby model of this Jag. Some people thought it was a Jag. White with the black leather interior and the wood dash and door trim. My current car which is a 90's LHS has the roofline that has been compared to the Jag roofline in this video. Love the Jaguar.

+Jim Bales Yep Jim, you're definitely correct on both accounts. I used to sell those Chrysler LHS's back in the late 90's...they are really nice cars.
@JimBales8 жыл бұрын
Yes, I remember you telling me that you sold these back in the 90s.

One place I worked at had a Mk9 that the paint guys were doing the body work on...That was in 1985 and they were few and far between then over here.

Love the direction your channel is heading. Just keeps getting better. Wanted to say, thank you. Oh and how is the Husqvarna 430 coming along?
@RamblinAround8 жыл бұрын
+Christo Kinieriem Thank you for the kind words. The Husky is coming along pretty well. It's all painted and has a new rear tire. Jordan is going to get it bored and put a fresh piston in it. That way, it'll run like new again.

Amazing how good the interior is, but it looks like someone called Cleetus has been mucking around with the outside.

It's neat to come across something you don't see every day. I wonder what the history of that car is, who owned it and how it was used over the years...

+pearsonba350 You're right, it would be great to know some of the back story on this one. Thanks for checking it out!

Wow that is a very nice example! Those are pretty rare even in the UK! Though I have seen a few classics like that :-). ( I wish we had more American muscle cars though )

Has potetial for restoration not my cup of tea, prefer the f and e types to those.
@RamblinAround8 жыл бұрын
+robi1nz Yeah, if I were going to spend the money, I'd rather it be on an E-type. Someone that already has an E-type might be interested in this though.
