I hadn’t appreciated exactly where the LMH spot was, but we actually stopped there for two nights on the way up to Bollington and on the way back! There are some nice walks from there, on either side of the canal. Little Moreton Hall on the west, Mow Cop on the east.

Nice drone shot, you caught two boats moving. I guess the beautiful Macc is your reward for braving that journey through the bowels of the earth just before the turn. that old building looks like a pump house...Fancy living in this former pumping station next to the canal? Now you can (if you've got a spare £500k) The building in Stockton Brook will go under the hammer along with two semi-detached houses Developers are invited to ‘splash’ out half a million pounds on a historic canal-side pumping station once responsible for providing clean drinking water to Stoke-on-Trent. The iconic building in Stockton Brook - next to the picturesque Caldon Canal - is being marketed as having ‘developmental potential for a variety of uses’. Two semi-detached homes next to the handsome red-brick property are also set to go under the hammer with a guide price of £400,000. The imposing 134-year-old station was one of several owned by Staffordshire Potteries Water Works Company to pump water to reservoirs at Brown Edge and Bagnall. It had been converted from steam to electricity in 1936 before being decommissioned in 1983. Suggestions include conversion to residential, a business or even a wedding venue.
