Done alot of early .. vw restorations . Just in metal work . If you take in to get done . And you supply good gage metal . Your looking at 15g , if you do it yourself plus your time , 6 grand , , plus dont forget final prep work blocking car and sanding . Re tapping all bolts ,, etc etc . New correct top with wood add another 10 grand .. sometimes buying one done is almost cost effective
