I'm sure it was pointed out earlier in the comments, but Chrysler did not produce a 392 Hemi in 1959. In fact, the last year of the Gen I hemi was 1958. Production started up again in 1964 with the 426 Gen II hemi.

Like that battery hold-down stud spacer kit. Is that a NAPA balkamp part number? ha ha jk. Interesting, that when it first started, there was also an earthquake... Actually, it sounds pretty good. factory 392? I had a 59 D200 with 318 poly.stolen, still have title. seems the pickups are actually more rare. I see tons of these panels and I must have one! Is that a NAPCO 4x4? or later conversion. Seems pretty rare if original hemi. Pretty cool rig!
@just_a_guy_doing10 жыл бұрын
As for it being a 4x4 conversion, Def not, it was ordered as a 4x4 with nv 4 speed, dana 60s and a new process 2 stick transfercase. This townie is even more special, since its a factory 200 (3/4 ton)
@brent44010 жыл бұрын
I love it! there was a website with at least a dozen of those town panels on it but it was dated 4 years ago. reasonable too. still. I think you'll find your fenders. That 392 sounds like it has almost as much cam as my 440 cuda!
@just_a_guy_doing10 жыл бұрын
Actually I bought another 60 town panel just for the front clip, 60 and up used extremely rare fenders, and the ones I've got are solid. A town panel with an early hemi, not sure if it's a 392, went for 6k on Ebay. Not really even finished, just a driver, going to paint the girl hemi Cuba green from the 70s can't think the color name offhand
@Mr39036ce7 жыл бұрын
you mean 58' don't you? 59 was the wedge motor intro,hemi was gone.Last year was 58.

What transmission do you have mated?
@ceramic497 жыл бұрын
It's been 3 years, I wonder if it's done. And just for the record: it doesn't have "two" dual exhaust, it has dual exhaust. Also, there is no such thing as a fuel injected carburetor; it's called a throttle body.
@monstercommenter95877 жыл бұрын
GW Hunter He said TRUE dual exhaust a term coined when it became necessary by law to install another catalytic converter if you wanted to have dual exhaust, which is expensive, so now there are Y pipes that mimic dual exhaust but only go from the cat back.
@ceramic497 жыл бұрын
Monster commenter ~ Ahhhhhh, okay ~ That makes more sense. Thank you!!!
@monstercommenter95877 жыл бұрын
GW Hunter 👍just wanted to clarify. This man has an accent of some sort and it did sound like he said two dual. idk what he means buy fuel injected carb tho I'm thinking you're right with throttle body.
@ceramic497 жыл бұрын
Monster commenter ~ Yeah, I'm 54 years old and I've been a mechanic all my life. My father owned a Dodge/Chrysler dealership and a general automotive repair shop. Obviously he is a mechanic as well, so is my brother. I showed him this video and we had a good laugh together over the fuel injected carb thingy ~ LOL
@berhorst597 жыл бұрын
If you had really been listening, you would have heard "true dual exhaust". Give it a try

Nevermind I saw the shifter so what trans are you using? I have a 59 I'm trying to do the same thing to.
@just_a_guy_doing10 жыл бұрын
It's a new process, 4 speed from the factory. It is a non syncro 1st, 2n d thru 4th are syncro, I've upgraded the top shifter plate to a late 60's with the reverse light shifter provision.
