And now you play a GK strat 🤦♂️
@ziggylayneable4 жыл бұрын
I have a same exact Strat like this from '62. I put a mother of toilet seat pickguard on it (of course I saved all the original parts in the bag for the case). the best thing about mine is that it has no tremolo. when I flip the guitar over there is absolutely no routing on the back whatsoever. except for 6 holes to put the strings through. I'm very proud of my'62 hardtail.

Early 60’s Sonic blue Stratocaster’s are the best looking Stratocaster’s ever made in my opinion. Very nice job

Freddy is and always will be the epitome of class and he is painfully gifted in this area. Another legendary example of artwork to be enjoyed. Cheers big man.

I have a vintage slab board neck. Should the frets be pulled through the slots to avoid chip-out when doing the re-fret ?
@FreddysFrets5 жыл бұрын
Yes. No doubt that's why this board was full of chip out, somebody must have lifted the frets out.

FreddysFrets Thanks Freddy. I L❤️ve this channel & wish you could build me a 59 Burst some day. With that info, might as well re-fret myself!

Hi Freddy. Nice job on restoration. Question paint cracking around the bridge. Should I be concerned. Not sure why that would happened. Maybe pressure on the whammy bar over time. I appreciate any feedback. Thx.

Can you give me any tips on how you patched the guard? I patched my 63 guard which had a humbucker previously installed in the neck position and would love to know how you got the edges so clean

I am rebuilding a Squire Bullet with better tuners and PU's. It will sound great, I can paint it real strange, and I can tear it up. WIsh I had some vintage Strats just "layin around". I'd cherish that piece and other dudes are like...."oh,.....I'll just tear this thing up and put a new whammy in there. Some people just flat out need to get a $400.00 Ibanez and Wham their little ole hearts out and pass on the Vintage stuff since they will just be wrecking some really great guitar history.
