You guys need to be careful about the relation to the rows on the planter to the rows on the corn head. An 8-row planter needs an 8 or 4-row head. A twelve row needs a 6-row head. This does not matter too much now because with GPS you just plant enough on the ends to match with the planter but with just markers, the rows will not line up between planter passes. Plus remember how many end rows you did with the planter and do the appropriate amount with the combine. Like with grant if he did two with the planter he would do four with the Combine.

Gotta call you out on something: "Gone Country" by Alan Jackson came out in 1994 so it would not fit your 80's role play accurately. Also you said who doesn't put row markers on a planter, well who would be dumb enough to buy a planter without row markers?
