25 minute compilation featuring television commercials that aired on Saturday mornings in the 1960s and 1970s (altho the Flintstones ads for Winston cigarettes actually aired during primetime). The BetaGems channel also has "1960s/1970s Saturday morning TV commercials 22 min," "1960s/1970s Saturday morning TV commercials half hour," "1960s/1970s Saturday morning TV commercials 28 minutes," "1960s Saturday morning TV commercials 12 minutes," "1960s Saturday morning TV commercials 23 minutes," "1960s Saturday morning TV ads 29 minutes," "1950s/1960s Saturday morning TV commercials 8 minutes," "1960s Saturday morning TV commercials 30 minutes," "1959 & 1960 Saturday morning TV commercials 25 minutes," "1972 & 1973 Saturday morning TV commercials 23 minutes," and "1972 & 1973 Saturday morning TV commercials 6 minutes."
If you like these commercial compilations, the BetaGems channel also has "1958-1965 TV commercials Louis Armstrong, Lucy & Desi, more 30 min," "60s primetime TV commercials 45 minutes Dick Van Dyke, Addams Family, etc," "1960s daytime television commercials half hour," "1960s daytime television commercials 1 hour," "1956-1960 primetime television commercials 23 minutes," "1959-1961 primetime television commercials 12 minutes," "1960s primetime television commercials 37 minutes," "60s/70s TV commercials: Louise Lasser, John Wayne, Cybill Shepherd, more," "1959-1960 primetime television commercials 10 minutes," "1961 Twilight Zone commercials that aired during original broadcasts," "Stoner TV commercials: Screaming Yellow Zonkers, more," "1950s Ovaltine sports star ads Florence Chadwick, more," "1971 Ovaltine: Friend For Life ad agency film, Screaming Yellow Zonkers," "1992 TV's Funniest Commercials, Patrick Duffy host," "TV's Greatest Commercials 1989 Tim Conway & Ed McMahon," "TV's Greatest Commercials II 1989 celebrity edition, Ed McMahon," "1990 Foreign TV Commercials compilation 30 minutes," "1990 World's Best Commercials: David Leisure," "Phil Hartman: Word From Our Sponsor celeb ads," "We'll Be Right Back ad comp hosted by Mr. Whipple, Madge 1989," "1995 Greatest Commercials Ever Made, John Ritter host," "Marx Bros TV ads: Pepsi, Prom Cream, De Soto/Plymouth," and an entire playlist of rare TV ads going back to the 40s in a playlist called "Rare and Lost TV Commercials."
BetaGems are culled from an archive of over 1000 beta video tapes recorded from 1983 into the 1990s. Most feature live music performances broadcast on television in San Diego CA, though there are also rarely seen commercials, comedy clips, and other material that doesn't seem to be anywhere else on KZbin or online. Most of the tapes were recorded on a Sony SL-HFT7 Super Beta Theater Hi-Fi Stereo - the same model was refurbished and is being used for these digital transfers and uploads.
In rare occasions where a BetaGems clip does appear elsewhere, we're only uploading if our own beta master is better quality or contains material not seen previously. Much footage comes from public television and public access broadcasts that the taper monitored nightly for several years. Some of the programming is strictly regional, mostly from the San Diego area. This upload features materials protected by the Fair Use guidelines of Section 107 of the Copyright Act. My brother tried Quake and Quisp cereals. He said Quake tested like Capn' Crunch-Quisp too,but with cheese flavor.

Future celebrities alert: 11:20 - In the Marx playsets ad, that's Christopher Knight of The Brady Bunch at far right (and again at 11:27). 14:12 - That's a young Kurt Russell for Mattel's Zero-M Sonic Blaster, with voiceover by William Conrad. Oh yeah, one other thing: Call me kooky, but for some reason, I get the sneaky feeling that the Flintstones Winston cigarettes commercial at 27:27 never actually aired on a Saturday morning.

I hope to find those Rocky and Bullwinkle toys out in the wild. Even in the early 90s as a kid, they always gave me a cool early evening cartoon feel because of what time they came on. I never forgot that feeling.
