Hello, in this video I will be restoring, repairing, and rebuilding a very rusty Tonka Jeep. I purchased this Tonka toy from eBay, in this exact condition. The rust was done a lot of damage thru out the whole body of the toy, the plastics parts have been also damaged due to the old age. This Jeep is originally a Jeep Wrecker and Snowplow Jeep Tonka. It's a model from the 1960's and it is over 50 years old. The paint on this Tonka is very faded, and it's a perfect candidate for a restoration. This restoration will not have sandblasting, but I will use different methods to remove the paint and soften up the rust. Hopefully you enjoy this satisfying restoration, because it's truly an awesome restoration. The goal of this restoration process is making this little toy cool again and once again enjoyed. Tonka toys are great DIY projects and can be done by anyone who is willing to give this hobby a try. Tonka toys are very iconic, some of other toys that have been made in the past years are: Mighty Tonka Dump Truck, Tonka Mighty Loader, Tonka Tow Truck, Tonka 1955 Green Giant Brand Semi Truck, 1960 Tonka fisherman Pickup truck. The now very rare and expensive Tonka Ramp Hoist, Tonka Pickup trucks from the 1950's and 1960's are great collectible items and amazing for restorations. If you ever want to restore and rescue tonka toy trucks, you can find parts online. Some other models are Tonka Pick Up Truck 1975s and Tonka Fire Truck, the restoration of a fire truck would probably take up a lot of time. 1956 Tonka Truck is also very beautiful and awesome for restorations. But Tonka is not the only company that makes pressed steel toys, others such as Structo, Buddy L, Marx, Wyandotte Toys also make toy airplanes that are popular and satisfying for repairs and restoring. 1930s metalcraft toys have a lot of great characteristics and are beautiful and very detailed. 1957 Tonka Rescue Squad Metro Van is becoming popular for restoration. 1960s Nylint Hot Rod Restorations are also very satisfying to watch. This is one of the longest projects that I have done, It took a lot of time and effort. In the future I hope to do more Tonka Vintage Toy Restorations. Awesome Restorations, Cool Again Restoration, Chip Channel Restoration,Restore & Rescue, My Mechanics, Jeep DIY Project.

Awesome to see a painter instead of a powder coated. There was never an original Tonka that was powder coated .Beautiful restoration.

Cool. I am fortunate to have had the ability to set up a Blast Cabinet and High Volume Compressor. I got tired of the chemical stripping: It is work intensive. Awesome Restoration.

You did a fantastic job Mr. Anikin! One question for you. Can you make the tires on my Jeep as shiny as you did on this Jeep? 😍 I not only watched the whole video through without stopping, I also watched all the ads as well so you could put food on table! 🍽
