1961 Chevy Apache Restoration

This video is a summary of a full restoration of a 1961 Chevrolet Apache stepside by my father over the course of five years. Work was carried out on and off on evenings and weekends while juggling many other home improvement and construction projects for friends and family. The truck is a 1961 Chevy Apache stepside (as stated above), two-wheel drive with a manual "three in the tree" transmission. The original engine is a 235 inline-six but a temporary engine was put in to get it running and to allow more time to fine-tune the rebuilt one. The new engine is a 261 inline-six and will be kept for parts once the original is installed. The truck itself sat out on a family farm for years before it was found and the decision was made to turn it into a daily driver. A second truck, a 1962 fleetside, was also purchased for parts and a rebuild template.

do you guys know what wiring kit you used i can't find one for my apache and i have been searching for weeks

The original wiring was in good shape so dad just reused it, but if you're looking for a brand new harness LMC Truck carries them. If you're in Canada I would recommend Scott's Super Trucks out of Penhold Alberta, the guy has everything and you don't have to pay US dollars and customs stuff for an LMC order. Berry the Magical eagle I couldn’t find one for my 61 Apache so I did everything my self ,it was hard but I got it done
