Amazing condition. Testament to Chryslers quality the be that nice in 61yrs and 100k. I was privileged to own one in 1964 built by 3 Chrysler engineers especially to compete at Bonneville against Andy Granatelis 300 F. I traveled the wide open roads of southern Idaho eastern Oregon and northern Nevada as a 20 yr old traveling salesman of Premier automotive parts and fasteners. The big engined Ford's, Pontiacs and others would try to race me. Little did they know as I would fly by their top speed of 130 at 150 plus what they were up against. Kudos to Chrysler engineer and good friend John Pimentel who built the car.

Thankyou for all the facts and details. Just learned alot. In the market for a restored 60 or 61. Thought I preferred the 60 because of the boomerangs and toilet seat but the more I look at the ribbed trunk with the backup light fins……I’m liken it!!! What a wonderful piece of automotive art.

Very stylish vehicle. This was still representational of the 50s era, when the rest of the industry in America were beginning the new decade with a newer style altogether. Cleaner linear lines, with smaller or no tail fins. In so many ways, Chrysler/Imperial were trend setters during the 50s, and would continue to innovate in its own unique direction during the 60s and latter.

WOW... That car doesn't look like it has even 10,000 miles on it! It's beyond me how anyone can keep anything SO clean and ding-free, especially over 100,000 miles. No pedal wear. The cloth windlacing looks PERFECT.... It's almost as if the original owners of cars in this condition put on flannel coveralls and removed their shoes, whenever they drove these things....AND they must have stayed away from any other traffic while driving them. WOW.
