To most people, modifying a classic car for "drivers" means stiff suspension, big wheels, and sticky tires. For Dennis Varni, it meant rally. It meant bad gas in foreign countries, dirt, broken roads and unforeseen obstacles. It meant having Hills Rod & Custom turn a Ford Falcon into a rally car.

I came here to comment on a wonderful car that fifty years ago did exactly what the guy who had this one built did. Race it on foreign soil and win. Only fifty years ago it was the Monte Carlo Rally(and several others across Europe). But this seems to be just a place where people are bitching about this channel, so, never mind.

Ford Falcon came in second 1964 after a Morris Mini Copper S and just before a Saab 96. Big muscle squeezed in between the light nimble frontwheel driven cars - still the Falcon is a very cool car, especially this one.

I really hate the whole Drive+ idea. My Dad has a 63' Falcon so I just love to see built of version of his Cruise Night car but they just screw you over by posting something you're intrested in just to say 'Hey you know this is a episode just for you, so give us money to see it!'.

Well /DRIVE, I'm just not sure I can keep going with this. I've been subbed for a good while. I stayed subbed after the subscription change even though I didn't go for /DRIVE+. I thought I'd still get decent content that I'd be satisfied with, but it's just not happening. I find myself skipping past your videos regularly now. I know all I'm getting is a "trailer" for something I won't see. It's disappointing... every time. I miss the good ol days. I think I'll be unsubscribing. Garzanberg its how the future is, yes it sucks, but everything is going over the top now. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, ESPN, HBO, youtube is next on the band wagon because they are owned by the money crazed Google. people unsubscribing isn't going to change crap. I'm pretty sure the /Drive big wigs sat down and thought that if they had a 10% take rate on their 1.3m subs they would be just fine losing the rest. It's not like you are paying for nothing, their video quality and quantity has greatly improved. I understand both sides, but complaining and unsubscribing isn't going to change anything, they would rather have their 130,000 customers paying $5. so its a matter of if you think /Drive is worth the extremely small charge or not. I would strongly suggest you try it for a month.. :)

I don't want to pay for KZbin videos, simple as that. Perhaps that's the way of the future. I'll cross that path when/if it comes. As one of many people who have helped promote and build /DRIVE to what it is(in regards to popularity, not production obviously), I think it's worthwhile to give feedback on how we the viewers currently feel. Voicing yourself is what helps bring change. Will it always work how we want? Nope, but sometimes it will. Will it work how we want if nothing ever gets said? Nope, never. Yes, I agree they need to make money. Just not this way. Personally speaking. None the less, if you want to spot me 5 bucks to try it out, I'll accept. It's only the cost of 1 meal, right? So many people left the cable world because of crap being shoved down their throat at a high cost. Uninteresting shows, bullshit sponsors and constant bombardment of advertisements. Some of us came over to youtube (which we pay for through our ISPs at a sizeable cost) to get away from that shlock being shoved at us.. and now, someone has figured out how to monetize this and force more unwanted garbage at us. I know theres a need for funding for these services, but I for one will not pay to watch advertising for products and services, especially those that have paid to advertise with this outlet or any other. Eventually, if enough people follow suit, youtube will die off.

I wanted to do something like this with some kind of Mopar, like maybe a Monaco (Bluesmobile, banned in many Jalopy Derbies because it's unfair). I like bombing dirt and gravel roads on vintage dirtbikes, and it'd be fun to take a car there, although a car could never match the pace of the bike (except on larger roads and with acknowledgement of certain death). Problem is, I could get another bike or two for the same money, with more reliability, and no DMV bullshit. I need a Maico. And a bigger Husqvarna to go next to my current one. And a genuine 238 Green Streak Kawasaki would be awesome...

Going the easy way and buy a subaru or any of these cars? Well if you think about the Ford mk2 escort, Audi quattro, Lancia stratos, Talbot sunbeam or the Opel Ascona then those cars were often used since they was more suited to that kind of sport. American cars were rarely used or barely used at all in rally championchips since they are quiet unsuitable and i certain periods/ classes you was not alloud tu use a car with that large engine.

I've been a Drive subscriber for awhile, and Big Muscle has always been my favorite show there. I thought youtube channels like this were doing okay with ad revenue, but I'm not even remotely about to pay for a subscription just so I can watch Big Muscle on Drive+. Heck, I don't even pay for cable. In fact, I'm now unsubscribing from the drive channel period due to this bs. Love Big Muscle, but I hate corporate greed so thanks for the episodes in the past because I won't be watching another one.
