What a great looking bubble top. I plucked this one out of a 45 car private collection in Nashville. Of all the great cars, this one stood out to me. The color combination, great lines, tastefully upgraded wheels really make this a unique car that people love.
EXTERIOR: I love the look of this car. It has a rather masculine, yet sporty appearance. Of course we put it on the lift, the body is really straight and solid. The doors fit very nice along the bottom, I don't see any bubbling or cracking. Has very clean wheel well lips around the rear quarter panels. Nice silver metallic paint job with a clear coat glossy finish. In back the bumper is rechromed and wraps upward into the tailfin. Cool looking 6 round tail lights. Upfront the bumper is rechromed and there is that great looking split and slanted grills. Of course the bubbletop roof is very desirable. Has wide side moldings with bold Bonneville gold letters. The wheel wells were designed to be open and show off the wheels. This car happens to have some great looking wire wheels on radial redline tires.
INTERIOR: It has been completely reupholstered- seats and door panels. New headliner and carpet. Also has original Pontiac floormats. The dash pad has been reupholstered. New oil and temperature gauges are neatly installed under the dash.
MOTOR COMPARTMENT: It has been cleaned and painted. New Edelbrock Carb was just installed. Has correct chrome valve covers.

I love these old cars when they're in this kind of condition. I am glad there's a population of people who cherish them. I am also glad that I have had enough experience owning cars like this when I was younger so that I am only moderately tempted to buy one again. Please don't anybody buy something like this unless you already own a nice garage to store it. As insane as it sounds, I know a couple of people with cars similar, but not as nice, sitting outside.

In the early 90's I had a car magazine that featured a '61 Catalina. Really similar body style. Not sure of the difference to a Bonneville but they both have that horned rear bumper and I thought that was just tough looking. The bubble top is probably my favorite roof line ever. The Catalina had a 421 tri power, 4 speed. A dark maroon color. I thought it said it was some kind of police interceptor. A fast one for sure! Wonder where it is today. Thanks Jay, another beauty!

Hi! Love Pontiacs from the 60's. This 61 is a true beauty. Looks like you have a burned out tail light right side inside.

What an absolutely stunning Bonneville! LOVE the tone of mellow tumbler these old 389s! This car seems to need + or - nothing what-so-ever!! Beautiful pristine silver, and the ivory interior looks rich and awesome! The spoke wheels and red line tires show off the stature of this 61 beauty . The gaps appear to be spot-on. Again, I can't think of a single thing this car would need! I'm totally impressed with the price tag as well. I would have imagined at least 10-15k higher. I think this one will soon be gone. Thank you again for taking the time to present in full detail each and every appointments!! Beautiful Bonneville at a fantastic price!

Hi Robert. You and l definitely share the same interest and passion for these cars. I'm kind of on a learning curve as l've never seen a number of these cars. But , l know what l like and it seems we both share our opinions. You have the edge on me as l live "over the pond" so l'm probably still in bed when these come on line. And l simply don't know the various engine's and trim or basic body shape. However l really enjoy your comments as you make accurate and knowledgeable observations. The only thing that l disliked was the bottom half of the dash in white l would have had that in body colour (or even satin black) Take care and no doubt we'll see each others comments for as long as Jay keeps showing us these fabulous classics!

@@johndavey72 Greetings back John, and thank you for your comments. Yes, I think certain people have certain passions, and apparently ours are the same .... CARS!!! LOL ... I've loved cars since childhood ... I think the first vivid memory I have of expressing interest was in 1954, when a the son of a wealthy poultry farmer was coming down the road in his brand-new 54 Corvette ... I went out near the road to flag him down, just so I could see that awesome car. He stopped for me, and I got to see it up close. I was 5 years old. Believe it or not, esa toy 9 years later, at the age of 14, his younger brother was driving past our home place in a brand-new 63 split-window coup! Since those days, after the great 50s/60s era, I always wanted to get involved in dealing in these great cars at some level, but obviously everyone doesn't have the resources to follow their dreams. So I get my satisfaction watching Mr. Gram' s videos at Volo. I love the man's honest presentations ..... always precise and impeccably done. He deals in only the best if the best, and how I would live to have been Blessed to be associated with such a dealership. They seem to be one of high standards and integrity. Thank you again .... Stay safe, well and be Blessed!

@@robertbowling8393 Good morning Robert. The split screen is my absolute favourite. I have a'66 Jaguar XKE ("e"type)2+2 coupé l'm restoring and the Corvette equals it for style and beauty. Regarding the ''54 , back in 1968/69 l was 15/16 waiting at the bus stop to take me back home . A friend of my brother owned a scrap yard. He pulled up in a '53/54 , It had the fared in headlights. He said l could have it for a £100.00p . Over here we can't drive until 17years old so l politely declined!!! Take care.

Surprised you guys haven't sold this car yet. One of my favorite cars at your showroom. Only thing I would do to it is add skirts and convert it to a tri-power because of the badge, I'm anal like that. lol Rare car for sure!!!

Pontiac didn't put Tri-Power emblems on the '61s, and this car has a four barrel carb anyway.
