So I’m still trying to understand why if the the first basecoat gets good adhesion why does it matter how many coats on top of that should not do what this car did?

Well some reducer may penetrate to the base and lift the paint, unless you paint without reducer, you wont really find this problem

Grab an tile scraper when scraping paint like this it's just an bigger razor scraper

Why didn't you clear it with the no name gun? I'm thinking of buying one but I'd like to see a demo with clear, I use the iwata at work but I think l would like to have that for the house!

Another great video I really appreciate sharing your knowledge. I have a question for you. I have a 1987 Monte Carlo that was painted in 1996. It has a candy on it, but I want to restore it. This will be my first time painting a vehicle, but my question to you is, do I have to sand it to the metal? If so, what’s the first primer a sealer or a high built primer?

I only have a large 2 car garage set up for painting, and no place to do dusty bodywork and am wondering what location to perform all the pre paint prep work? Any suggestions would be great!!!!
