Beautiful build, love how he kept the original steering wheel, most people replace it with a small aftermarket one, usually doesn't fit the car at all IMO.

Yeah, patina is cool. This body however is well-designed enough to honor it with a worthy paint job. I find it one of the better bodies of the era.

Nice build but I don't see how they can say the car was ugly in stock form. It's not like they changed the body at all, you can't say you did 100% percent of the work in making it look how it does just because you slammed it on big wheels. These were not really "Grandma cars" either, they were high end, high performance luxury sport coupes. I don't think all the tinwork really fits with the look of the body but whoever built it obviously has some skills. Those speakers in the rear deck look out of place though. I would have just kept the interior basically stock but that's just my opinion...

not stance..Rake. That's the classic term. Great car & gorguus! & I am quite sure that's the original primer showing through, not patina. and lastly..mustang II suspension is nowhere near as good as the original torsion bar suspension, not even close! the weight was farther down & further back & tbars are 100% sprung weight, what could be better? nothing. overall, im glad she was saved.

I had the 62 Newport 4drht loved that car! I had to 361 Saratoga motor dual 4 Barrel carbs with a 727 torqueflite push-button transmission now keep in mind that's how this motor came stock at three different packages motor packages I learned a lot about this car when I got my new port when I started tearing down the motor to rebuild it still have the factory stock gaskets on it from 62 stamp Factory and upon removing those gaskets is when I realized how rare my motor was cuz it had the Maltese cross and an s which was the marking code for Saratoga I want to say it was the wide block 361 Saratoga beautiful roomy car a fucking tank is what it was I will someday have another one! But this 300 is just beautiful the way it sits as is makes it even that more beautiful
