The 1962 Newport was powered by a 361.8 cubic-inch V8 engine with overhead valves, five main bearings, a Stromberg two-barrel carburetor, a 9.0:1 compression ratio, and delivered 265 horsepower at 4,400 RPM. The standard transmission was a three-speed manual with non-synchromesh on first and floor shift controls.

This is getting off track a little, but take a '62 Dodge 880 and put a '61 DeSoto front clip. Now there would be a '62 DeSoto 😊

I am trying to understand what is going on at the place where I took these pictures. There are 3 cars, a Charger, Dodge Cornet and this one on a very well manicured property. I love the atmosphere around them, it is almost they were put out to live the rest of their being in style.......Thanks, Steve
