Way back in '77 I was shopping to replace a stolen ES 125 TDC and almost bought one of these from Elderly Instruments when they were still a kind of hole-in-the-wall kind of place. It had a sloppy headstock repair and the vibrato unit was replaced with a stop tailpiece, (couls see the old screw holes) but it played and played and played and had the sound. I remember it being tagged as a '62, but I could be remembering wrong. It was rough as hell, but they only wanted $250. I sometimes regret passing on that one.
@tooties5457 жыл бұрын
Where were you in '62? Such a sweet instrument. 1. Oye Como Va - Santana (originally Tito Puente). 2 . Roadhouse Blues - The Doors 3. AC/DC ??? Bodyknowledge 77 help me out.

The SG ( and yes i know that was a Les Paul but everybody knows what I mean) has always been my favorite Gibson solid body. The LPs get all the love but for me this is the solid body Gibson of my dreams. The tone is so fat and yet crisp at the same time. it is like listening to whipped cream.

Many years ago there was a happy family of five, and I was the youngest. My father was a carpenter, my mother was a nurse, and my older brother and sister were 10 and 16. We fled our hometown in Mexico because the Zetas, a very fatal criminal organization, were killing all of our authority figures. My sister- very beautiful, and beloved- wore glasses, and we called her four eyes. She sustained an injury during our attempt of escaping, and lost an eye. Now we call her one eye. Anyway, when we reached the border of the beautiful United States, we used a Coyote to smuggle us through their lines. I believe his name was Wile. He was always talking about roadrunners and dynamite, and how he's always getting himself into trouble- I never understood any of it. I just believed he was high on drugs or something. Anyway, we made it into California for one, and only one reason: TO SEE YOU DO A TWELVE STRING. DO A TWELVE STRING GIBSON MARK-FREAKING- NESI!
