This is phenomenal. I discovered the Thompson-Nicola five years ago and totally fell in love with it, bought property out there recently. What an amazing compilation of old footage! Great music choices too. Thank-you so much!

Great video! My dad's house he grew up in was in there! Nice to see it again since it had been torn down. Wonderful memory!

Man cominco was booming back then. I spent a day in trail with my first girlfriend back in 2005. Most beautiful place I have ever seen. Salmo, castlegar, and especially fruitvale were awesome as well.. Can't believe I talked my parent's into letting me ride up there from Seattle alone on a greyhound...I was only 16. Ha ha. I miss those times, and the young lady I went up there to see as well. Man I hope she's doing great. 15 years ago...wow If it was easier to immigrate I'd be up there in a second.

Nice retro vid! I was born and raised for part of my life in Trail and the 'Gar. My dad was a long time Cominco (now Teck) alumni. He's retired in Edmonton now. I still recall many family trips across the province in my youth.

The footage is amazing. The music, however, doesn't fit lol

Well what do you want me to do. Play commercial music and take a copywrite claim and then the writer collect the ad revenue? That's what happens. I monetize my videos and earn a living from them so I have to use licensed royalty free music otherwise I am working for free. This is my old film footage that was shot by both my dad and father in-law on their journies before i was born.

Love how the traffic is almost nil. Those were the good old days not road rage or gridlock.
