Great attention to detail. You guys didn't cut any corners. There must have been moments where you said "Oye, what did I get myself into?!" Kudos from America.

The dog jumped up and scratched the paint! But everyone was excited and happy - including the little mutt - and so it goes.

Thanks for the memories ... Totally enjoyed your build. My first car was a '62 Morris Mini 850 I got as a 15year old in 1967. I got it from a guy my Dad knew who raced a Cooper S at Mosport. Mine had a '65 engine and a Cooper S First gear (That meant straight cut with no synchros for first.) I got a chuckle on your first shift into 3rd. Funny how that crunch immediately caused a flashback. Originally white with a black roof, I got it painted 69 Corvette Hugger Orange. That cost me $70 at the local Body Shop. Sanding ? ..All my pals on the street helped out on that one :) - We used sand paper cause nobody had a power sander. That made for lifelong friends and shared memories til today. Thanks again from Canada John

Awesome! Epic rebuild, just magnificent! Especially poignant for me, my first car was a 62 Morris 850 in English Grey with 21,000 miles, bought 2nd hand by my 18 year old self 50 years ago this year. You've done a fantastic job bringing a clapped old piece of history back to life. Brought a tear to my eye. Congratulations, I hope she's good for another 55 years and more.

Lovely video, and lovely ending. My first car in 1982 when I was 19 was a mini, an 'S' reg, (1978), in Sandglow yellow. It was beautiful. I smashed it up, hitting a parked Bedford Luton van, and I was so upset!.Well done on this restoration.

Awesome job! It was heart warming to see her reaction to to the reveal and finding out it was hers. Well done. My biggest regret is not finishing my '77 850 rebuild back in the late 80s/early 90s. It was 'that' close to being finished, I even drove it a few yards, and, well, circumstances changed and after it sitting outside on the farm for years it went off for scrap. I never want to see a wire wheel or sander again in my life though. If there's a next time I'll get as much as possible media blasted and powder coated!

Brings back so many happy memories. My first car was a '62 Morris Mini 850 too. Had s much fun in it and spent many hours modifying the engine to get more power. Cam, carbs, exhaust, cylinder head and so on. Thanks for the video. I really enjoyed it. (By the way - please don't insult the Morris Mini by calling it an Austin!!! :-).
