The 1962 Buicks , Pontiacs and Oldsmobiles were in my opinion , the best designs that General Motors ever offered ! They were beautiful then and are stunning today !! Happy Motoring

the design of this Pontiac is far superior to anything on the road at the time. More beautiful than ANYTHING Ford, Chevy or Chrysler had to offer. Simply stunning.

I think the 62 Ford Galaxie 500 and the Galaxie 500/XL gives this car a serious run for its money. It is the best looking car among its 62 stalemate GM cousins.

Out of any of the Pontiacs from the 1960's, the '62's are my favorites. The look of this car holds up very nicely, 55 years later.

King of the NASCAR'S... My Dad had a 4 door 389 4bbl. It was a bad-boy. At 87 years old he still reminds me of the time he out ran a Maine State Trooper in his Bonney... Poncho power.

My eight-lugged '62 Bonneville had the base 303HP with the 4-B AFB coupled with and the late/great 4-S Hydramatic with the 3.92 lo gear; launched that big machine real well. Drove it from Ca to Iowa and back in 1963; hit a skunk at 80mph driving thru Nebraska at night-- and it was not nice for the next two weeks. Averaged an amazing 19 MPG on that trip; good 'ol 100 octane. Was Bamboo Creme with black interior, super cruizer. In 1964, Uncle Sam called and had to sell the nicest ride I have ever owned. Those days are GONE, when it comes to your ride now days, big gov is your slave master; the new 2018 Cadillacs with 2 liter (122ci) engines-- what a joke.

O M G !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What Planet did you find this????????????????? I would KILLLLLLLLLL for this!!! As a young kid, we had a new neighbor move in 3 doors down and he had a brand new navy blue one that ... well, it kept me up at night thinking about it. Just incfredible. Then, the wife's brother came to stay after his stint in the Navy was up and he had a brand new '63 Grand Prix in the same Navy blue. GOOOOOT, GOT! This comes second to either of those. Just awesome!!

It may still be for sale. Here is your chance to own it. You don't have to kill for it. Just give up a few green backs.

@mikewalker43302 жыл бұрын
You did not have the same exact car. '62 Bonnevilles had 4 speed Hydramatics and would smoke tires and get with the program. Yours, if Automatic, had a Turbo Hydramatic 400. They were solid but the 4 speed hydramatic didn't slip near as much and it had better gear ratios. It would shit and git! It was a tad slower shifting but made up for it with less slippage and bad ass low gear.

Awesome only one question the exterior mirror so far out on front fender? Door mount allowed?
@BizOrNot6 жыл бұрын
That is the only place they put them in '62. The mirror can even be adjusted by the tear-drop chrome knob under the dash, to the left on the steering wheel. You could also order a matching one on the passenger's fender.

As equipped it probably had a sticker MSRP of about $4150 when it was new in 62. Now $12,500 to $20,000 would be a fair asking price as a 57 yr old classic vehicle.

Lost interest at 1:36. (1) Not as nice as the Mariner turquoise '67 GTO that you had a while back, (2) Fuzzy dice? Is that a consolation prize because there are no bucket seats? (3 )It's not a cool Catalina or Gp.
