Do you know if this car still has the original swing axle rear suspension?

The swing axle suspension was part of the transaxle attached to the rear engine which has been replaced by a front engine V8. He said something about a Corvette chassis.

For what it is, this is a cool modern car. However, very little of it, except the shell, is a Corvair. Why not just a BMW convertible?
