You need to turn the air cleaner so the intake is receiving air from the hood scoop. Right now you have it turned 90 degrees to the drivers side.

Awesome, I have a 61 t-bird fully restored, white with red leather interior full power options , kept 100% original. Also one of the most aerodynamic vehicles ever made and that 390/6.4 liter engine makes it powerful fast.

I graduated in 1963 and loved this car. Our neighbor's had just gotten one. The space motif on this car was wonderful. From the beautiful tail lights to the sleek jet look.
