Thank god videos like these exist, first year engineering lectures are so bad compared to what I’m used to in high school, I have only one lecture on this and I’m expected to do 6 of these.

Bless you! You explained a difficult problem for me so efficiently. You easily broke down what is needed to be done and few reminders of what's what. My teacher tried to explain a very similar problem and just mumbled and got lost in his explanation. I knew how to do each step before the video, I just didn't know how to put the knowledge together. Bless you!

I just started watching your videos, along with my personal extensive reading of my textbook, and the outcome is that I'm getting the hand of statics - It's pretty simple and exciting now. Your content is very well made and organized, love it. Thank you for efforts, expect to see me in the comment sections asking/discussing something if necessary. P.S: Could you please tell me the name of the textbook you're using/teaching that is (if) related to these videos?

Thank you so much for your lectures! My only question is: at 0:12:44 you say that summation of forces in Y is 500 N, Then you say that vertical component of F equals F*sin and then write a equitation F*sin -700*sin(15)=500. I can't really get is since summation of forces in Y and F are the same vector here. I would really appreciate your answer!

28:26 shouldn't f1v be negative since that component is in the downwards direction?

at 14:00 why did you put Fsin0 - 700sin15 =500 , shouldnt forces upwards = forces downwards? because when i was trying to solve i put Fsin0 + 500 = 700sin15
@1963rzr8 жыл бұрын
The questions says that the RESULTANT force acts up. You add all of the forces (with their corresponding signs) and the Resultant must be equal to 500. What you did is considering the 500 as an additional force and not as a resultant
@myaseenkhanpakistani72428 жыл бұрын
fantastic job
@nadyahusnakeumala26457 жыл бұрын
in 14:05, it should be + 500 right? because 500 going up. so the equation should be F sin theta -700 sin 15 + 500 =0 ????
@zairafuentes31167 жыл бұрын
Nadya Husna Keumala i supposed to ask that too... I think thats a liitle mistake of him... 😁
@peaclove20687 жыл бұрын
These are the y- components of the two forces. Those two components are equal to the resultant which is 500 since the resultant is in the direction of the positive y-axis.
@1963rzr7 жыл бұрын
Nadya Husna Keumala thank you
@hamzajhelum7 жыл бұрын
Yes you right Becauz either he can write as you mention above or he can also writen it as Sum of components=-(Resultant) Where "-" provide equlibrium and indicates both balance each other by taking opposite direction.
