1964-1967 GM A-Body Power Window Installation

Have you ever wondered what it takes to install a factory style power window kit on a 1964 to 1967 GM A-Body? Auto City Classic produces just such a kit and here is an install video.

are the window regulator spring tensoin pre loaded?

Yes, they are slightly preloaded. But the spring tightens more as the window rolls down to assist with the lift just as manual regulators would.

do you have to remove the wing window or does it just make it easier ?

You may be able to get away with not removing the vent post assembly. But it might difficult to rotate the door glass the way it needs to in order to get it out of the door.
