I used to play Who live at Leeds to the kids in the mornings when I took them to school on the bus . They used to be wide awake and ready for action by the time they got to school ! You nailed it Lemmo . My generation , Magic bus and Can't explain !

Wow! So often Lemmo plays the same old rifts and songs. But hey today he covers The Who. Bravo! And early Who classics like Can’t Explain. And he kills it! Looks like he was getting a real workout covering Townshend’s masterful guitar work. Pete is way underrated. And yes, that SG Special is indeed special. One of Michael’s best performances.

I do love a good Gibson SG. I think it's Gibsons finest guitar. They really can do anything. Thumb over style, fast power chord ripping, jazz, you name it. Michael is such a great player, rock on. 🤘😎

My very first electric guitar was a used 1964 SG Special in the original "chipboard" case for the princely sum of $200 in 1985. Wish I still had that one, it needed refret badly and I didn't know anyone who could do it so I sold it in the mid 90s. Such a dumb move!

Never been a SG guy or fan. Something about those short horns? As well as the fact many of them neck dive badly! More into the Les Paul Specials, 335’s and Melody Makers for double cutaways but I do dig on those P90’s especially from early to mid 60’s! And well Lemmos playing on just about anything is extraterrestrial sorta heavenly!

My Generation

The first band I was ever in, maybe sophomore high school, '67-'68, the other guitar player had that guitar. I had somebody's leftover Zim-Gar guitar and felt diseased trying to play it. Not that I could have played much better with a real guitar. One day, another guy cam over to play, and had what must have been a Dakota Red maple neck Strat, must have been a '56 or '57. I tried to play it, I hated it. Sigh. In those days i thought Fenders were weird, ugly guitars. 2nd SG special anecdote: I visited a pal in Britain in 1971. He had an SG special body that Townsend has busted up and he ended up with it.
