It has a small block, but can't make out the engine call out badge; it could be either a 283 or 327. The base engine even for the SS was a 250 straight six: I knew a young guy who bought one that way on purpose to cut down on insurance costs. I never noticed before that the 1964 Impala had windsplits both front and rear. Amazing the appearance difference between the 1963 Impala [brash] and the 1964 Impala [dignified]. This one not only has stock wheels and wheel covers, there is no continental kit nor fender skirts!

A year ago I got a black '67 Impala 4 door just like the one from that show Supernatural. Then in August this year, right as I'm finishing it's restoration, my brother shows up with a '64 just like this. Now we're prepping them both, along with Mom and Dad's '72 Oldsmobile 442, gonna road trip them in the Spring. What color should we make bro's '64?
