1964 Chevy impala, finished up the passenger side fender metalwork

And this video I just did metal work on the passenger front fender. It was in pretty rough shape so it took a little bit of time but now it’s ready for bodywork which I’m going to do off camera and then tomorrow I will be spraying the two fenders and the other door, which I believe is the drivers door and primer and then plan on working on the 1959 impala the rest of the day. If that was my own project! I would of least sandblasted the support channel before welding the patch! I always hate covering rust at all cost! but! I'm a blaster by trade! 👍🏽

I thought of blasting it, but the window is still in there and I didn’t wanna put a bunch of sand inside there

Nice job 👍. I guess it’s good to take your time on these patches! If fender patch panels are available for my Lemans should I grab them tackle the fab like ur doing? I metal and a mig and time😊😊JR

Patch panels are definitely easier. If they’re not too expensive, I would use them.
