He does such a good job of explaining everything about these vehicles, it's good to hear.

I’m in the minority now, but I love Corvettes in white. Man this thing is stunning! Thank you as always ~ Chuck

With the VIN (from the HOC website), we win: 4 for 1964 model year, 08 for Corvette, 67 for convertible, S for St. Louis, MO assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The St. Louis, MO plant produced Corvettes until June 1, 1981 and then production was moved to Bowling Green, KY where it still is today. There was some "overlap" in 1981 at St. Louis, MO but production was started at Bowling Green in June 1981. No tag, can't brag, but easy to figure out, no doubt: possible STD for Black interior trim, a letter and number date code (which is unknown without the tag) and 936 for Ermine White exterior paint.

Actually, there was some overlap as St Louis continued production of the 1981, and BG started building the 82. If I recall correctly, St Louis stopped production at the end of July. The only year Corvettes were produced in 2 plants simultaneously. ~ Chuck

@@charlesdalton985 As I stated, the Bowling Green plant opened up on June 1, 1981, not in July 1981. There was some overlap, but that was immaterial.

@@googleusergp I see the edit, thank you. I believe we’re both trying to add to Mr Magnante’s excellent presentations with our own specifics.

Love the video. Couple things to correct the radio was an option not a delete up to 1969. The ignition shield was steel, chrome plated on the 2 pieces right side horizontal just under the exhaust manifolds. Of the 9 ignition shield pieces, 7 of them as you say were stainless steel.

I owned a '63 split window and had no less visibility than I had with a later '67 big block. Perhaps being 6'5" tall helped but I think the visibility thing is something imagined by those who disliked the design.

I've seen a white Stingray a couple times...but it had red interior. I don't remember the model year, but it was so damn beautiful.

Nice example Steve. Nice options. Not a rag top guy. Had one once, 66 Galaxie 500 XL and it felt cheap compared to the hardtop. Cheers Mate. 🇨🇦

Luv this ‘64 but wish it had the 340 or 365 horse 327. Not a fan of the finicky Fuelie engine.

I love white cars. If a car looks good in white, then it looks good. If a white car is ugly, then the car is ugly
