Of course to the best of my knowledge all the Pace Cars were convertibles. And those whitewalls are a. It too wide, but it is an attractive model! I built Monogram's 64 Mustang Pace Car convertible and it's an outstanding kitbin 1/24;svale. Even comes with a convertible uptop :-)

The 64 1/2 Mustang Indy Pacecar was a convertible. Although the available Mustangs at that time would have had a 260 v8 or a six cylinder, the pacecar was equiped with a 289.

My DREAM car! 1965 I was working at a TEXACO gas staion and made enough money to make payments on a Red Mustang. My dad refused tpo make the down payment for me (evn though he used my college money). Two years latr I left to fight in the East. But my heart stayed home with the Mustang I never ever got. Thanks for his WONDERFUL build, Chris.

You did a great job on this kit. Not sure what happened at AMT when they were pantagraphing the windshield area from the buck, but it's definitely laid back more than OEM. It's always been this way, I can remember when a friend built this kit in the seventies and how wonky it looked

Another great build Chris. I built this kit many years ago but in 1/25 scale. It's so old that the clear backing of the decals have turned dark. Not a good look on a white car. See you next video. 😊😊

I've been wanting this kit for years but everyone on ebay is asking way too much. Now I can finally get it at a reasonable price, and it's reissued which is nice because it's been alittle updated with the decals and such

I'm so glad you previewed this kit. Good to see some custom parts in there. I have a problem building stock vehicles. I always modified my real mustangs as much as I could afford to. I wish I could see it a more dramatic color. Definitely want this kit.

I attempted this kit as my first big scale model 25 years ago, but i was kinda disappointed with the level of detail, and i didn't do the best job on it. You've got it looking great!

It's a very welcome model, I just wish Round2 would have spent more time on the wheel/tire/wheel cover/axle orientation. Front axle/ wheel assembly looks set back slightly too far, and all 4 wheels look too narrow in the fenders -- but even so the wheel covers still stick out too far. I would like to have this kit, but might wait for a re-release to get improvements on a few things. Thank you Chris, you did a great video here!

I have seen a mustang (65, I think). Same body style but with a 6 cylinder engine. I like the 289 V-8 also. Great video and review of the kit. Have a great day and keep up the great work.

Awesome job Chris with this build. Always enjoy watching your videos! I wish more manufacturers would produce 1/16th scale kits. Due to their bigger parts, they are much easier to detail and usually come with opening doors and "wires" for the engine which adds a lot of realism. Happy Holidays!

Great build. This is one of my favorite car, born in 1964 . My brother and a friend had one. I think this was my first 1/16th kit I put together or maybe it was the Bell air.

I was hoping you would get to this one! Outstanding model, Chris. A friend brought me a Cuban cigar while on a cruise, and I burned the evidence while watching you build this one! This kit looks like a super detailer’s dream model! I liked the blue valve covers and air cleaner over gloss black engine, nice touch and it adds interest to what would be an otherwise boring engine in this scale. I wish the spark plug wires were yellow and more to scale in these kits, but you made the best of what was given in the kit. I am looking forward to finding this one and building it! Great job, thanks for the build!

The 1964 1/2 Mustang came with a 170 ci inline six with a 260 v8 available. The convertible was available with the 289 v8.

I remember people back in the day doing that quad taillight mod that this kit has. And I recall some going with T-Bird and Cougar lights, also.

Fortunately here in Australia in the real world only two auto manufacturers did white interiors, ford and Chrysler. Probably 1972 to 1974 thinking in there luxury sports coupes, don't think many were made probably only a few hundred

While on the subject of big scale, did your sponsors managed to send you a copy of the new 1/12 Stratos from Italeri? I'm starting to see them on preoder, but for the good chunk of change they're asking for it, I'd love to see a review before I make the leap!!!
