Studebaker was a performance marvel for a brief period of time. Such a shame they didn't succeed in the market place.

Yes and this car is a great example of that. Fascinating car and manufacturer.

In this redesign, Brook Stevens really upgraded the previous 1961 Hawk body shell.

76 station by my house has a Studebacker parked for sale. Light brown color. Not sure the year. It is in beautiful original condition from what I see.

Studebaker was the first companey to inport MB into USA. In the early days if you wanted a Mercedes-Benz in america you went to your local Studebaker Dealer.

Nice introduction to this rare Beauty. Thank Got they got rid of those unique but ugly as all hell wraparound glass C_Pillars of the mid 50s. I can imagine your in-laws toasting there in the back seats...would cure the back seat driver problem maybe. LOL

Beautiful. Car, but the comment that guy made about the seatbelts. He's full of c*** because my 61 Ford Thunderbird had seat belts from the factory. Maybe not General motors, but my ford did.

Some cars had them and some didn’t until they were mandated in 1966.
