Nice competitive clean routines, unexpected medals. Caslavska had a surprise fall on bars (as did Zamotilova URS and Aihara JPN) during finals, she likely would have won. Vera also stumbled on a new full twist floor mount which she put in because she wanted to beat Latynina and Astakhova with a more difficult routine but she stumbled out of it.
