I hope you drive and enjoy her. I have a 67 Ambassador 990 2 dr and a 68 Ambassador DPL wagon (both 343 4bbl). We drive both of them all over everywhere. Both my wife and I truly enjoy them. The A/C compressor is not too expensive to replace if you need that. It's an odd system in that it does not use lubricant mixed in with the freon. The lube is in a crank case. We changed ours over to 134A with an addition of adapters and a rebuild of the receiver/drier. Good luck with the whole project. I hope we see you at some AMC show sometime soon. The stock heater valve was manufactured, I believe, in England and is difficult to obtain. There are overhaul kits but depending on your valve, they may not work. Good Luck!

Great looking original car! I’ve been getting random parts for mine off of a 66, which has the same body style as your 65, in a nearby junkyard. There’s a lot different but still some interchangeable parts.

Thanks! And your videos are very interesting with the work you are doing, really in depth! I’ve tried some of the junkyards here but even though ramblers were common here, they tended to rust out, so finding parts can be interesting. That said, the new brake master cylinder is a reproduction from AMC Performance (AMClives) and… it’s so much nicer than the old leaky one. I definitely squealed the tires a few times after it was installed lol, so much bite when hitting the brakes compared to before. Next up I’ll be putting in the rest of the insulation i have on the floor and then the new carpet, and putting in dual exhaust so that should be nice.
