It makes any driver's day when you know someone appreciates your car. A friend and I were driving our cars abroad and passing through a village and 4kids pointed at his car which has some nice rims an exhaust and well detailed. He was the happiest dude of the group when I told him that the kids liked it. It's just a Toyota Yaris, but having your car appreciated, no matter the car, always creates a smile.

Once again, Bruce Meyer shows why he is one of the best and most astute collectors in the world. Bruce loves to drive his cars and share them with the world, he doesn't just hide them away never to be seen again. And this video shows why the smaller italian marques like Bizzarrini and Iso deserve just as much respect as Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. Fantastic video Jay!

In response to Jay's question toward the end regarding turn signals at LeMans: Yes. Back in the '60s even prototypes were required to have working turn signals. Smaller displacement prototypes and GT cars, knowing that they would be passed regularly by the larger displacement prototypes and GT cars, would frequently use their turn signals to let the faster cars know that they were aware of their presence and which side of the track they would be running, especially when approaching corners, and especially at night.

Absolutely correct! In that time period even the prototypes were required to have under chassis clearance of about 4", perhaps it was 100mm. I have a photograph someplace of inspection at LeMans where quite literally a box the height of the required clearance was being shoved under a car. This was eventually dropped as ground effects aero technology required less clearance.

those were the golden years of creative engineering in the automobile world. you designed a car, then built it , packed a bag , got in it , drove to arguably the greatest race in the world with it and win the race. people are always criticizing me for putting a 745hp Whipplecharged LS3 motor/t56 trans in a E46 M3 coupe until they ride in it. the car is incredible and will hands down out handle, out drag and out top end 99% of the cars on the road anywhere today. 9.90s in the qtr mile, and its been 192mph in the mile. full interior, ice cold A/C, Heat, and ive driven it from St.Louis to Miami and Los Angeles round trips without any issues. Im happy to see cars like the code 57 being built by small 4 and 5 man companies . Hell a couple of guys from Denmark recently built a supercar. Creative imagination the will to do whatever it takes to build it produce it is how great things for mankind are discovered. theres very few people in the world like that anymore. Its certainly due to fear of failure and social media ridicule. Without question, that is one of the top 10 best cars ever built in the racing world . Very cool indeed..

Surly Krampus with Shimano cranks, because the fixing bolt on SRAM always fails and my local as its gonna be FSA is garbage. Well Mr RamblinAround (and no I get NO COMMISSION), here my suggestion: contact Mr. RÜNGE of RÜNGE CARS (kzbin.info) with a quite large BLACK AMERICAN EXPRESS CREDIT CARD (the artist does not come cheap at all), show him what you want and be patient and he`ll build that what you want (IT AIN`T GONNA BE CHEAP BUT DEFINITELY EXCLUSIVE).

Check out a guy called Wray Schelin’s ProShaper workshop on KZbin he has excellent methods of patterning and developing and replicating these shapes of you want to do it yourself. Also I’d argue that the Jag XK 120 was one of the first cars with slab sides but possibly by accident than by aerodynamic design

Beside is the only one.. Ferrari have 38-39 of the 250GTO, Ford did build a few Ford GT40.. but this , this is so way ahead of all mentioned and the most beautiful one ! Nice to have a collection with each one car mentioned side by side but damn even in replica form would be so nice to admire from up close each car build with strong passion for racing and very nice shapes.. ;)

In 1965, I was a sophomore that the U of Washington in Seattle. The student union organized a sports car show where dealers and clubs brought their cars on campus for one of those loosely structured "walk around and look at the cars" events. Among the Vettes and Jags, I spotted and fell in love with one car I'd never seen and almost never heard of since, a Bizzarrini. 327 Chevy powered in British racing green with black diamond patterned shiny leather interior. So low; so sleek; so impractical. No comforts; all racing. The owner was offering it for sale at about $6,000. That would fund tuition, books and living expenses for almost three years back in the day, so it was not to be.

I didn't think you could top the Mk6 Lola that was on earlier this year. This certainly has and not because it is drivable. The sound of those quad pipes and that gaggle of side draft Webber's with those custom velocity stacks....... The up swept under side rear, the bulges over the wheels.. Pure automotive pornography.

Hey Jay in the 1970s I worked with the greatest movie Stunt driver at that time Cary Loften, Cary had 2 or 3 Bizzarrini at that time his favorite car. He had so many tickets over the yrs that as he said he was banned from having a license in the U S so he drove with a Hong Kong lic. Wonder what happened to those cars?.

This car is amazing. I believe I saw a Bizzarini at an Italian event in Monterey a few years ago. I did not understand the car at all at that time. Jay was at that event on a golf course. This particular car really is one of those once in a life time cars for the tenth of the people who can afford it or less. So for Bruce to have shared this car with all of us via Jay Leno is completely a treat and totally wonderful. AF
