I love these demos. Love that Brad tries to keep things as original as possible. In this case, right choice. Amp sounds awesome. Need more, hit it with an OD. wish i had gear from the 'revolution'. Stuff like Victoria guitars and amps were like $35.00

My first amp! Along with my Danelectro Convertible guitar! The amp is long gone, but I still have the guitar.

Nice video! I'm not a tech but I enjoy watching your videos. Learn a little something from each one. This one touches home. I have a Danelectro Centurion 273 that I just had recapped and deep cleaned. I think it's a 58 or 59. It's close to mint and bought it from the original owner who used to play his accordion through it. Bought a low to high impedance filter and going to try and play some harp through it. Thank you for the videos! Keep them coming!

I think you stumbled upon something brilliant in that, when you flip the screen upside down, it looks more like what we see ourselves as guitar players. That camera angle is brilliant for teaching, or showing just where the fingers are touching the fret board in the players perspective. Why hasn't anyone else thought of this before.

+August Lyons Wish I could say that was intentional, but no, that's just be being an idiot and not properly editing.

I am working on an amp project and the "top shelf" idea is really good for what I wanna do (specially since I'll be using a baking pan for my chassis), but I think I'll use a different approach to holding it in. Screws from the sides is probably the best way to do it, and having "channels" cut into the sides of the cabinet to work as "drawer tracks", so it doesn't just fall down if you unscrew the suport screws. Also, for easy servicing, gonna have the back door a little lower so it doesn't block the shelf from being removed. Yeah, that could work! Time to doodle some plans!

+blackcorvo I've seen a lot with top shelves, but first time seeing little blocks like that holding something in.

This is the first top shelf I've seen, but yeah it's a weird design choice. I was actually rethinking mine over the course of the day, and I'll do something simpler that'll only require to make slots on the cabinet's wood.

Hey thanks for the video! Is C10 in the circuit schematic the death cap? And when you take that out, did you just bolt the ground to the chassis at the corner of the power transformer? I'm about to do this exact fix on a DM10. The one i have also has the speaker cable running out the foot switch jack so someone clearly tinkered with it. Thanks again!

Im so thankful for your channel and time sir! I am working on a Danelectro DM 25 for my father in law and have a few questions...any chance you and I could conversate somehow?

244 on those .01 ceramic caps is the EIA code for the Leslie F. Muter Company, a company which primarily made precision wirewound resistors. They made these little things to go on to their glass encapsulated grid leaks: www.radiomuseum.org/r/mutercomp_grid_leak_drip_pan.html

Those two blocks holding the chassis are the definition of an "after-thought"!. Haha. These little puppies scream with a good overdrive in front and sound like a collapsing super-nova with a fuzz!. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,maybe swap out the Jensen for something a little more robust before those excursions are attempted though?. Peace.

I'm planning on building a full-range head using something rather unique: a Welch Densichron from the late 1950s. It's a portable all-tube instrument with a very nice slide-out chassis. I'll probably use the original power transformer and terminal boards for the job.

awwww did the guy demoing the amp hurt your fragile little feelings by criticizing the quality of the cabinetry? It's well known fact it is the weak link in all of these amps built by Danelectro in the era. Still sounds amazing after 50+ years!
