1965 Falcon strip/street car build version 1

In 2019 I crashed my 1967 Fairlane. Shortly after my friend offered to sell me his 1965 Falcon shell to work on getting back in the game.
Currently it has a 302 based 347" SBF, power glide, 9" rear. Running holley EFI and 93 octane gas as well as E70.
Best time is 10.12 @ 134 all motor.

Likewise! You’re welcome to hang out with us on the cheap side next time. 10.00 is tough…I went out round 2. .009 RT and took .030 stripe for the loss. Went 9.995 to his 10.001. Needed to take 23 or less :-/

it is mini-tubbed. Slightly notched the frame. Just a standard mini tub cut to fit.

I made them out of aluminum and painted them with bed liner. I’m considering redoing it this winter and using carbon fiber. If I do, these would be for sale.

Why did they have to make it so UGLY?? They could have painted it bright red, or blue, or yellow, or purple. Why did they have to soak it in FLAT BLACK? It looks like it spent a year at the bottom of a swamp.

They? I built this car in my garage. Sorry I didn’t have $10,000 to spend on a quality paint job. Thank you for your thoughtful criticism a$$hole I’ll be sure to let my falcon know that while we won the Super Street track championship in 2022, it’s still ugly. ;)

@@9858Racer It didn't need to be expensive paint, just anything but flat black. This flat black fad has become nauseating. I didn't say anything bad about the car. I love the car, other than the flat black.
