good work mate, all done with your left hand!! gives me confidence, I also have only my left arm.. my power steering is a little different, it is just a ram pushing the drag link, yet to install the power assist option the car is still manual steering. good video thanks for the upload, got some good knowledge..regards

There is a adjustment on my steering valve to change the amount of bias (assistance) that is given when steering in each direction. It is in the diagram shown as the adjusting nut. It is covered by the spring cap.

I have a question. When installing the travel regulator, is there any play in the axial direction of the spool bolt? When I turn the steering wheel to the left, it sometimes feels heavy, so I think the control valve is the cause.

Hey MT, where did you purchase your valve . . . by the way great video, I love that you pretty much did all One Handed, Great Job !!! Do you have any videos on rebuilding a steering gearbox ? I need to rebuild the gearbox for my '67, do you have any info on the subject?

Mr. Tyson, excellent video! I ordered a rebuild kit, P/S control valve and a socket, P/S Valve Ball Stud from National Parts Depot. While installing it I had a problem installing the ball stud socket into the drag link. I found that it was difficult slipping it into the drag link (your video looked very easy) and I had to pound it in with a 2x4 wood and a hammer. I finally got it in but I don't feel comfortable about the stud being very tight and I am unable to slide it back and forth as it shows in your video. Should I be very concerned about this?

Awesome video...been looking everywhere for this because I need to replace my center link ..however, did not realize it was that complex...Yikes...Wish I could just replace the center link but looks like the who valve body is involved...:-(

I was wondering where you bought the steering valve from. I'm in the process of converting my 66 Mustang from manual steering to power steering. I already purchased Center link, I just need the valve. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi mustangtyson have seen your Video. i think i have done everything like you but if i start the Motor the steering whell makes a hard move to the right side. Have you any idea what i have made wrong? Thanks Andy

How tight should the adjusting nut be tightened? Bottomed?

It depends on your car. it controls the right left bias, you have to adjust it to your needs.

I thought maybe copunt how many threads are showing before disassembly and tighten similarly. Just wasn't sure. One guy said he ended up with boost turning one direction and none in the other. That is what yopu seemed to allude to.
