I'm an old man, got no ass, just a callous to sit on. I don't think it hurts the looks of a chopper to put some springs under the seat or some padding on it. Hell, I like a king queen seat myself.

slowpokebr549 a solo with springs will just make you bounce higher. I have ridden rigid Harley choppers for 50 years with no problem. I recently (in 2008) received a retirement present from my wife, a brand new Wide Glide. I thought , wow this is going to be a smooth ride! Wrong! It bounced on the frost heaves and ruts just like my rigids, which I still have. To each his own but you are 100per cent correct a really firm king and queen is the way to go! With a nice tall sissy bar and the passenger pegs right at your butt cheeks! Screw it on to 75 lean back into your sweeties crotch and life is gooood!!!! That’s what choppers are for!!!! CFL!!!

In 1957 was the last hardtall frame but there was no bow in the legs. The frame was called a straight leg and was only in the 1957 model. This particular frame was raked and the legs were bowed back which is one way to accomplish the rake.

that's mostly stretch, not rake. rake is when you torth the neck and bend it up, which is the cheap way of doing it. the proper way is stretching, where you chop it at the seat and down tubes and bend up and add pieces.

Panhead wishbone frames were 1948 to around 1954-1/2. Panhead straightleg frames were 1954-1/2 through 1957. Swingarms from '58 through '65, then Shovelheads.

Ok nice bike but doesn’t any body paint or chrome or even wash their Harley’s anymore? I can show you a picture of my first pan in 1967 that was a show chopper compared to this. Come how bout some workmanship? Not knocking the bike, any Harley is cool I just don’t like the rat thing. Yes you can put the miles on a clean bike, don’t use that old lame excuse!!!
