This is cool to watch. Brings back memories. My 66 Olds F-85 ran 11.20's @ 120mph with stock suspension and through the mufflers. It had a nice 425 Olds big block.

Nice! My best friend in high school in the 80's had a black 64 or 65 f85 4door. 330 Olds with a 2speed Powerglide, Craigar mags and VW bucket seats 😄We cruised the hell out of that car!

I love the old Oldsmobiles. My first car was a '65 Dynamic 88 Holiday star Special. The name was as long as the car. Lol.

@@TheStreetsofSanFrancisco All of the words in the name implied what the car was. Dynamic- meant the 425 HO Holiday - implied 4 doors , Star meant all of the options, and Special - meant limited edition. or special order only. Which means you had to ask for it with all the options when ordering the car.

What is that you let go with your right hand at the start?

Transbrake. A transbrake locks the transmission in 1st and reverse gear at the same time, the car is locked in position. You can then floor the throttle, when you let go of the button reverse gear is released and the car instantly launches. Transbrakes have been around for about 40 years, the work very well.

@DraxTheDestroyer Do it yourself?? It is a launch control but nothing do it yourself about it. Pretty high tech.

With a 5 ain't really dead on is it? It's good, but not dead on. Dead on is with a 0 or a 1. If it'll run with a 5 consistently, you'll probably go rounds.
