My first new car was a '65 Belvedere Ii 2 door hardtop with a 318 and Torqueflyte transmission. Nothing fancy, but I was 16 and paid cash for it. Loved that car!

Gorgeous car. Mopars have SureGrips, not "posi's" by the way...

Exact same thing. Sure grip is just the Chrysler word for posi or vise versa. The mechanical functions are the same, weather it's a Ford, GM, or Chrysler. They all have a clutch pack inside the differential.

@@guidosarducci3047 Thank you, Captain Obvious - but using the proper terminology for things is simply correct grammatically - as well as being indicative of a proper Mopar owner. Posi (slang for "Posi-traction") is rightly a GM term; Traction-Loc is a Ford one, all for limited slip differentials. Sure Grip is by definition and properly used to describe a Mopar limited slip rear axle.

@@moparedtn Like I said, they're all the same clutch system. What's with the babbling bull shit about a proper Mopar owner? If u want to split hairs - Mopars are not vehicles. Mo-par is just a Chrysler acronym for Genuine motor-parts for Chrysler. And it eventually grew into people calling they're Chrysler vehicles Mopars. Clearly u just bought your car but don't know shit about em'. I know your type, you just parrot what you hear other people say but you can't even change your spark plugs. Just a wanna-be. Save your BS for your bitch boys.

Again with the Captain Obvious stuff? Why do you insist on thinking you've got some sort of exclusive ownership on such knowledge - and ASSuming anyone else doesn't possess the same? Arrogance like that is often accompanied by ignorance - which you're clearly displaying in spades here, yet you continue on insisting on digging the hole yet deeper.... Well, rest assured that "clearly" I've been a Mopar-exclusive car owner for most of my 60 years on the planet. I walk 'em AND talk 'em - they way they're CORRECTLY referred to. I've bought them new for decades - hell, I was HERE when most of these cars were new. I've got a handful around the property all the time, always have. But I digress... Lookit, here's the problem with your pathetic attempt at winning this particular keyboard warrior contest: *words mean things" Names have meaning. Using proper terminology matters - and insisting on using incorrect descriptors misleads at the least and makes one look a buffoon at worst, especially if one also insists on doubling down on doing so. Guys like you like to substitute attitude for knowledge; I've seen it too many times over the decades. A sure-fire way to determine someone who does *not* know what the hell they're talking about is that they don't use proper descriptors when referring to things - just like you're ignorantly/arrogantly hellbent on defending here. By your standards, all dogs are dogs - don't bother differentiating a collie from a terrier, you know, since they're all dogs. For that matter, why bother using someones' proper "given" name versus anyone else's since, well, we're all just humans after all eh? In the end, you're just hellbent on trying to win some online battle of wills, all the while being a)dead wrong in your assertations that "words don't matter" and b)"if I just keep talking, I'll win by attrition". As of now, I've tired of you and will be summarily ignoring anything from you from here into the future - oh, and for God's sake, DO try to know what the hell you're talking about next time you decide to go all "banty rooster" in a public forum. Save yourself the embarrassment...

@@moparedtn Whoa! I must've really the mark with correcting u and describing you so accurately. I didn't have time to read your whole rant but assume it's more of the same ramblings you disclosed earlier. Good luck with you bull shit...I'm sure there's plenty of people who'll buy it.
