This is a beautiful thing. I had this exact car from 1975 to 1979. Kept her running until I got to 107,000 miles. Big deal back then. She was beautiful. Thanks for restoring this.

I think this is the car in which my wife and I drove from Illinois to California in 1969, a month after we got married. Had everything we owned in it.
@streetguzzler Жыл бұрын
That would be awesome ..car was sold new in LA at Mike Salta Pontiac ..family owned in LA and in the end 70’s moved to Arizona Hualapai indiana reservation..

@@streetguzzler No. bought ours in Illinois in 1969, one owner, then we traded it for a Saab in Berkeley in 1973. It was a wonderful car for when gas cost 35 cents per gallon.

Great work. The car is definitely worth money spent in restoration, I like mine frim first day I purchased it. How long did the restoration take?

Tomas T I worked 4 intensive years in it .. body was great ..only trunk floor and trunk panels (behind rear window / trunk needs replacement) But we enjoying a lot of long distance car shows and holidays in ..my kids grow up in the car .. where do you from ? We re living near cologne

@@streetguzzler my restoration was only 5 months but was smaller than yours. I clocked up 8 000km from april to today this year after my rebuild. I was thinking to visit Sweden Big meet car meeting in Lindkoping. Have you been there with bonneville? I'm from Bratislava (Slovakia).
@streetguzzler4 жыл бұрын
Tomas T I always saw yearly all my Swedish pontiac friends in Västeras big power meet ..must be a joy to be there

music is odd but you had a solid body to work with. everything new was chevy impala ss floor pans?
@streetguzzler7 жыл бұрын
The car was very solid ..no , it has Pontiac floors ..impala floors only used at the Canadian Pontiac cars ..Bonneville = Parisienne = Impala

in canada, a top of the line pontiac grand parisienne, was no more than a chevy caprice, on a chevy body, with chevy drivetrains. a 283 c.i.d was std., compared to the bonneville's 421 c.i.d, in canada, there pontiacs had a powerglide 2 speed auto., compared with the bonneville's thm 400 three speed auto. the bonneville was built and sold only in the u.s and wasn't a chevrolet!
@streetguzzler3 жыл бұрын
That's right ..but the 65 Parisienne was offered at top of the line with a Muncie 4 speed and a 409 Chevy engine ..that's rare and hot stuff too. The Parisienne custom sport was a impala SS frame and drive train ..lower floors and trunk floor from impala and a Catalina body paired to the impala 119" wheel base frame
